Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Branch Manager to lead a busy rental location. You will hire and motivate a proactive team across sales, service, maintenance and drivers, ensuring outstanding customer service and branch profitability. The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, and regulatory compliance with a focus on safety.

You’ll manage day-to-day operations, oversee safety programs and drive revenue through sales initiatives while building a community-focused, high-performing branch.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of successful business management experience with profit and loss responsibility at a branch or other profit center.
• Strong sales and customer service experience required, outside sales experience preferred.
• Effective leadership, motivational, organizational and communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge and experience in the equipment rental industry preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall branch operations to ensure safety, productivity, customer service and profitability.
• Oversee sales efforts and business initiatives.
• Prepare reports, including profit and loss statements, monthly operating reviews, yearly budgets and other reports detailing operational status.
• Manage personnel matters.
• Oversee all safety matters, including audits, safety training, OSHA compliance, DOT regulations and drug and alcohol testing.
• Other duties assigned as needed
