Job summary

GALLS, LLC is seeking a Lead Retail Sales Associate to deliver exceptional customer service, assist with sizing and fittings, and guide customers to the right uniforms and equipment on the sales floor.

You will support branch management, greet customers, answer questions, upsell products, arrange displays, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive store profitability while upholding company PROUD to Serve standards.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to learn new programs and operate POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist Branch Management with store operations, mentoring, and coaching staff.
• Greet customers promptly and build trust on the sales floor.
• Respond to customer needs and answer questions about price, quality, and usability of products.
• Upsell and suggest add-ons to improve store profitability.
• Present and arrange merchandise to promote sales and monitor floor stock.
• Provide sizing, fittings, and measurements for alterations as needed.
• Collaborate with Branch Operations, Sales, and corporate teams.

Lead Retail Sales Associate

As a Lead Retail Sales Associate in a GALLS store, you can expect to provide exceptional customer service to our exceptional public safety professionals. You will interact with our customers on the sales floor, processing transactions, assisting with uniform sizing and fittings, measuring, and helping them select the right products to meet their needs.

What You Will Do

• Assist Branch Management with multiple functions in running the store, mentoring, and coaching staff
• Politely greet every customer promptly, developing trust quickly
• Respond to any customer needs on the floor
• Answer customer questions on price, quality, and usability of merchandise
• Upsell products and recommend add-on items to help yield store profitability
• Present and arrange products in a manner that promotes sales
• Replenish merchandise and monitor floor stock to ensure appropriate inventory is available
• Complete necessary housekeeping to present a clean and orderly store
• Provide sizing, fittings, and measurements for any customer alterations
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Branch Operations, Sales, and other corporate teams
• Commit to our company’s PROUD to Serve mission, policies, procedures, and practices
• Other duties assigned as needed

What You Bring

• Previous retail and/or customer service experience desired
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Friendly, honest, and dependable – you love to connect with people
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills – you can develop relationships quickly
• Resourcefulness (you may not always have the answers, but you know where to find them)
• Ability to operate Point of Sale systems, willing and able to learn new programs
• Confident working with little to no supervision
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, operate all store equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
