Job summary

ProLift Rigging, a private industrial construction firm, seeks a project engineer to support sales with heavy-lift solutions and perform site investigations. You will craft fabrication drawings, run design calculations, and develop load test plans for new equipment, while gaining exposure to all rigging disciplines.

Ideal candidates have strong mechanical reasoning, math skills, and willingness to travel and work overtime.

Qualifications

Excellent mechanical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
Strong math, measurement, and weight/balance understanding.
Willingness to travel, work overtime as needed, and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

Assist Sales in creating heavy-lift/transport solutions.
Perform site walk-downs with sales to gather information for proposals.
Provide project engineering support to contracted work.
Create reference charts, Excel templates, and technical whitepapers for proposals.
Develop fabrication drawings and perform design calculations per standards.
Develop load test plans and participate in field testing of new equipment.
Learn all facets of the heavy rigging and transportation industry.
Serve as field technical liaison for critical lifts, including risk management.
Prepare gear documentation: specifications, operating instructions, maintenance, test certificates, spare parts lists.
Complete ProLift-specific and regulatory training as required.
