Job summary

Rexel USA's Platt Distribution Center in Seattle, WA is seeking a Branch Driver I to deliver products to customers and branch locations in a delivery van or box truck. No CDL is required.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and reliable service. You will inspect the vehicle, load and unload materials, verify orders, complete delivery paperwork, and adhere to DOT regulations while delivering on time and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must pass a pre-employment and annual review of the Motor Vehicle Record.
• Must obtain verification of non-expired medical certificate as required by law within 60 days of hire.
• Must not have had a suspended driver's license for a traffic accident/violation within the past 3 years.
• Must not have any at fault accidents in the past 3 years.
• In lieu of experience, must attend company driver training.

Responsibilities

• Inspect company vehicle for defects and complete a daily inspection report.
• Keep vehicle clean, serviced, and maintained; report needed repairs.
• Must follow DOT, local and state driving laws and regulations.
• Load or unload vehicle and verify material for each order; ensure no damage.
• May assist in preparing orders for delivery.
• Ensure delivery documentation is completed; obtain customer signature and packing list.
• Handle returns from customers and inspect condition and quantities.
• May pick up material from suppliers.
• May assist with counter sales, stocking and shipping tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
