Job summary

Harbor Steel in Prichard, WV is seeking a Brake Press Operator for the 2nd shift. You will bend and form metal parts to customer specs, read drawings, and help keep a safe, productive work area. This entry-level role suits mechanically inclined individuals looking to build a career in metal manufacturing.

The successful candidate will follow production requirements, maintain quality, operate equipment safely, and contribute to an organized team environment. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong math and measurement skills.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints.
• Willingness to learn metal-forming processes.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must pass drug test and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate brake press equipment to bend and form parts per specs.
• Perform machine calibrations and adjustments as required.
• Complete in-process inspections and quality checks.
• Read drawings and determine bend lines and dimensions.
• Use measuring tools to verify tolerances.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Load/unload materials and assist with warehouse tasks as needed.
• Operate forklifts/cranes when certified and authorized.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area following 5S.
