Job summary

Mayville Engineering Company, Inc. is seeking a Brake Press Operator for the 1st shift at our Defiance, OH facility.

The role involves retrieving and setting tooling, programming and operating the press brake, and producing parts per blueprints with quality inspection to ensure conformance. Responsibilities include maintaining safety procedures, punctual attendance, using inspection tools, updating ERP entries, and performing basic maintenance to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to operate cranes and overhead hoists.
• Ability to use quality inspection equipment.

Description

Position Summary:

Press Brake Operator is responsible for retrieving tooling, setting tooling, programming machine and running machine. The Press Brake operator will use blue print specifications to accurately make test part, inspect, make adjustments and Green tag part, and verify product quality by inspection and measuring equipment.

Essential Job Functions:

• Follow safety and environmental procedures
• Come to work everyday, on time as scheduled
• Accurately read and use quality tools to ensure quality parts. Compare parts to blueprint to ensure they meet standards and specifications to verify product quality
• Use computer to enter part information/inventory in ERP system
• Setup, program and operate Press Brake equipment
• Perform basic preventative maintenance and repair and setup to keep Press Brake running smoothly and reduce downtime.
• Set up light barriers to ensure safety
• Ability to use motorized walking stacker

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Ability to operator cranes, overhead hoists
• Ability to use quality inspection equipment

Proficient and basic math and computer skills
