Fleet Engineers, part of the Tramec Holdings family in Michigan, seeks a skilled machinist to run and set up Press Brakes, Lasers, and CNC milling equipment. The role includes blueprint reading, data entry in Epicor, and working with various materials.

You will align parts, inspect tolerances, log production data, and perform machine adjustments to maintain quality and throughput.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years manufacturing experience on press brakes, lasers and CNC milling machines preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform data entry.
• Able to safely lift and handle up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Align parts against fixtures on a machine.
• Stack, rack, and wrap components for skids.
• Inspect parts per specifications.
• Use calipers, tape measure, and gauges for measurement.
• Log production documentation into Epicor software.
• Set up and program Press Brakes, CNC milling machines, fiber optic lasers and roll equipment.
• Troubleshoot and adjust machines to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Maintain production rate numbers and perform timely changeovers.
• Work with materials such as steel, galvanized steel, aluminum and stainless.

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for running and setting up a variety of equipment in the Tech Cell which includes Press Brake; Laser and Buffalo Rolls machine.

Shift:

Monday - Friday 2:30pm - 11:00pm but hours could vary

Essential Job Duties:

• Aligns parts or positions them against fixtures on a machine.
• Stacks, racks, wraps, counts component or finished goods for placement onto skids.
• Inspects parts according to requirements.
• Use of calipers, tape measure, measuring fixtures and gauges.
• Ability to use computer to log production documentation into Epicor software.
• Ability to set-up and program Press Brakes, CNC Milling Machines, Fiber Optic Lasers & Rolls Equipment.
• Ability to trouble shoot and make machine adjustments to assure dimensional compliance of parts.
• Maintain production rate numbers and perform machine change overs in the appropriate time.
• Familiar with working with a variety of materials including, Steel, Galvanized Steel, Aluminum & Stainless.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years manufacturing experience on Press Brakes, Lasers and CNC Milling Machines preferred.
• Computer data entry
• Able to safely lift and handle up to 50 pounds overhead.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and able to read blueprints.
