Job summary

Carvana in Blue Mound, TX is hiring a Brake & Tire Technician with at least 1 year of professional automotive repair experience to support vehicle reconditioning. You will perform light maintenance and repairs, including brakes and tires, at one of our high-tech inspection centers.

The position offers two shifts with overtime potential; benefits include healthcare, PTO, and training programs to progress pay and skills within the company.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles.
• Conduct basic mechanical repairs such as brake pads/calipers/rotors and tire work.
• Assist with wheel alignments and general reconditioning tasks in the inspection center.

As a Brake & Tire Technician, you’ll be expected to perform light maintenance or repairs, including changing brakes and tires and performing:

• Technician services, such as routine inspections/maintenance
• Basic mechanical repair for brake pads/calipers/rotors, tire installations, and wheel alignments

Pay Range: $18.00 - $22.00 hourly (based on level of experience)

• Pay: Starting pay for this position is $18/hr.
• Schedule: We offer two shifts at this location. Please keep in mind that all locations are subject to mandatory overtime based on business need.
• First shift: Mon-Fri 6am-3pm
• Second shift: Mon-Thurs 4pm-3am
• Location: Our inspection center is located at: 1123 Cantrell Sansom Rd Blue Mound, Texas, 76131

General qualifications and requirements

• Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools - must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently
• Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license. Some positions may be subject to an Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check
• An ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment while sometimes being exposed to excessive weather conditions (heat/cold)
• Use of safety equipment that may include but not limited to face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments and equipment
