Job summary

Les Schwab Tire Centers in Tukwila, WA seeks a Brake & Alignment Technician to service hydraulic/electric braking systems, suspensions, alignments, and TPMS components while delivering excellent customer service.

The role involves lifting up to 75 pounds, frequent bending and standing, and driving service vehicles for offsite work. On-the-job training and a comprehensive benefits package are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a rapid pace environment;
• frequent lifting up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds;
• frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and continuous squatting, reaching, walking and standing.

Responsibilities

• Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake systems, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts.
• Testing and installing batteries.
• Dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and recalibrating TPMS components.
• Using service equipment and hand tools.
• Assisting other employees.
• Test driving vehicles.
• Operating service vehicles for offsite and emergency road calls.
• Provides excellent customer service and refers customers to other qualified colleagues when needed.

Brake & Alignment Technician

Brake & Alignment Technicians are responsible for the service and installation of brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components, providing excellent customer service and completing work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.

Primary Responsibilities

• Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components;
• testing and installing batteries;
• dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components;
• using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools;
• assisting other employees;
• test driving vehicles;
• and operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services.; Provides excellent customer service; refers customers to other qualified employees as necessary.

Pay and Benefits

$16.50 - $28.00 For full time positions after eligibility criteria are met, benefits include:
