Job summary

Les Schwab Tire Centers is seeking a Brake & Alignment Technician to service and install brake, alignment, and suspension components. You will test batteries, rebalance wheels, and recalibrate TPMS while maintaining strong customer service standards.

The role includes on-site work and potential offsite service as needed for our customers. Ideal candidates have a valid driver’s license and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Excellent customer service skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Frequent lifting up to 75 pounds and bending, twisting, kneeling.
• Ability to work with a team and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Install or service brake, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts.
• Test batteries and inspect brake components.
• Dismount/mount tire and wheel assemblies; rebalance wheels; calibrate TPMS.
• Drive test vehicles and perform offsite/emergency road service when needed.

Brake & Alignment Technician

Brake & Alignment Technicians are responsible for the service and installation of brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components, providing excellent customer service and completing work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.

Primary Responsibilities

• Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components;
• Testing and installing batteries;
• Dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components;
• Using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools;
• Assisting other employees;
• Test driving vehicles;
• Operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services.

Provides excellent customer service; refers customers to other qualified employees as necessary.

Experience: Les Schwab offers opportunities for a variety of skills, and provides on-the-job training for Brake & Alignment Technicians.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license;
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a rapid pace environment;
• Frequent lifting up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds;
• Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and continuous squatting, reaching, walking and standing.
