Job summary

Les Schwab Tire Centers is hiring a Brake & Alignment Technician to service braking systems, alignments, and suspension components. The role includes tire mounting/dismounting, TPMS work, battery testing, and road service driving, with strong focus on customer service and safety.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Install or service brake, alignment, suspension, drive train, and power steering parts.
• Test batteries and perform system checks.
• Dismount/mount tires, rebalance wheels, and manage TPMS components.
• Use mechanical tools and equipment as needed.
• Assist other employees and participate in test drives.
• Operate service vehicle for offsite and emergency road calls.
• Provide excellent customer service and refer to others as needed.

Job Description: Brake & Alignment Technician

Brake & Alignment Technicians are responsible for the service and installation of brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components, providing excellent customer service and completing work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.

Primary Responsibilities

• Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components;
• Testing and installing batteries;
• Dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components;
• Using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools;
• Assisting other employees;
• Test driving vehicles;
• Operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services;
• Provides excellent customer service;
• Refers customers to other qualified employees as necessary.

Experience: Les Schwab offers opportunities for a variety of skills, and provides on-the job training for Brake & Alignment Technicians.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license;
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a rapid pace environment;
• Frequent lifting up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds;
