Job summary

Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a qualified Physiatrist to deliver professional medical services in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation for inpatients, outpatients, and clinics. The role includes oversight of clinical teams, participation in quality initiatives, and collaboration across hospital networks.

The ideal candidate will hold an MD or DO with PM&R board certification, Michigan medical licensure, and a Brain Injury Fellowship.

Qualifications

MD or DO degree and board certification in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
State of Michigan Medical License is required.
Current BLS Certification required.
Completion of Brain Injury Fellowship preferred.
Board-eligible candidates will be considered in some cases.

Responsibilities

Provides professional physiatry services to Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital inpatients and outpatients.
Maintains medical records timely and cooperates with billing, peer review and compliance programs.
Provides oversight and education for students, residents and mid-level providers.
Participates in quality improvement initiatives, research, publications and grant activities as applicable.
Leads and collaborates with treatment teams to ensure high standards of patient care and program development.
