Job summary

The University of Utah Health seeks a mid-career physiatrist for a full-time clinical/academic role in Brain Injury Medicine within the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. The position includes inpatient rehabilitation at the Craig H.

Neilsen Rehabilitation Hospital, specialty consults, and potential outpatient services, with an emphasis on growth, research, and teaching. Board-certified or board-eligible in PM&R, with subspecialty certification in Brain Injury Medicine preferred.

Qualifications

• Board-certified/board-eligible physiatrist with subspecialty in Brain Injury Medicine.
• 3–5 years of experience preferred.
• Completion of ACGME Brain Injury Medicine fellowship or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Join our Brain Injury team and assist in growth, including managing a fellowship training program and pursuing research opportunities.
• Collaborate with Neurosurgery, Neurology, and College of Health across departments.
• Provide inpatient rehabilitation services at the Craig H. Neilsen Rehabilitation Hospital and specialty consults within University of Utah Health System.
• Explore additional clinical services including outpatient clinic and extended care facilities.
• Candidates should have strong academic interest and potential for clinical care, research, and teaching.
