Qualifications

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and safely lift, turn, position and transfer product accordingly
  • Must meet the job and skill requirements of a Warehouse Associate
  • Must have strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Must have a satisfactory background check
  • Must successfully complete training and requirements to operate a forklift
  • Must comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards
  • Ability to work in harsh conditions, both hot/cold environments
  • 1-2 years forklift experience, preferred
  • 1-2 years warehouse experience, preferred
  • Forklift Certified, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Pick orders by reading pick tickets and complete necessary paperwork
  • Operate forklift and reach truck to move products safely
  • Move products by loading/unloading shipments to carriers and store them properly
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly workspace and facility
  • Ensure inbound/outbound shipments are accurate and undamaged and document damages
  • Unload and process inbound paperwork as required by procedures
  • Assist in maintaining warehouse security and safety practices
  • Other duties as assigned

CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time, non-exempt

REPORTS TO: Warehouse Supervisors, Warehouse Operations Manager, and/or General Manager

BASIC FUNCTION: The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for the operation of a forklift, processing inbound/outbound orders and all applicable paperwork, and picking and packing orders in accordance with the position requirements and safety standards.

RESPSONSIBLITIES:
  • Pick orders by reading pick tickets, complete necessary paperwork, move products to the cutting/receiving/shipping area.
  • Complete the pre-shift inspection for forklift, including battery maintenance as necessary.
  • Operate forklift and reach truck equipment to maneuver products within the warehouse in a safe manner.
  • Move products by loading/unloading shipments to carriers’ vehicles and store them in appropriate storage areas.
  • Safely operate and maintain material moving equipment such as reach trucks, motorized pallet jacks and forklifts to process orders.
  • Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed; repair pallets when necessary; maintain the facility to provide a clean, safe work environment.
  • Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage and document damages.
  • Efficiently move product from staging and/or unloading areas into the correct load door and trailer
  • Ensure that the trailer is secured and chocked prior to entering the trailer in accordance with the safety polices.
  • Unload and process inbound paperwork as required by company procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
  • Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
  • Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety.
  • Other duties as assigned.
