Job summary

Phoenix Union High School District No. 210 is seeking a School Athletics Coach for the Boys Freshman Volleyball program for the spring 2026-2027 school year.

The position is district-wide with Schedule F pay, and involves training student-athletes in line with district and state policies. The role requires CPR certification, an active AZ DPS IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card, and successful background screening.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Meet coaching qualifications, course requirements and certifications as determined by district criteria.
• Pass background investigation as outlined by the District.
• Be recommended by Principal or designee.
• Receive Governing Board approval.
• Possess an active AZ Department of Public Safety IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Responsibilities

• Enforce federal, state and district policies, rules and procedures.
• Follow Governing Board Policy and NO Pass/NO Play guidelines.
• Ensure safety and welfare of all participants in practice areas, locker rooms, and on buses/vans.
• Develop and implement strategies to encourage student participation in athletic programs.
• Manage inventory, storage, issuance, care and collection of equipment; supervise transportation and facility use.
