Position Summary

• Assist the Head Coach to provide a competitive athletic environment that empowers and inspires student athletes.
• Help foster team building and an environment of reliability, adaptability and good sportsmanship.
• Aide in the promotion of academic growth and achievement for athletes.

Qualifications

• IHSA Coaching Certification (including performance‑enhancing substances, concussion, hate speech and harassment, and CPR/AED training).

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Communicate with Head Coach about role and expectations.
• Help supervise issuance and collection of equipment.
• Supervise practice, contest, and locker room facilities and athlete transportation.
• Complete necessary paperwork on time.
• Promote and publicize team and individual achievements.
• Ensure compliance with school, district, conference and IHSA rules.
• Maintain professional conduct and school spirit.
• Other duties as assigned.
