Job summary

Central Hardin High School in Cecilia, Kentucky is seeking an Assistant Coach I for Boys Basketball (Freshman). The 100% seasonal position supports head coaches in daily and long-range athletic activities and in planning the athletic program, under supervision.

The candidate will work with student athletes to promote teamwork, assist with travel supervision, and help select equipment and uniforms. A high school diploma or GED and ABLE/compliance readiness are required.

Qualifications

• Any combination equivalent to: a high school diploma or G.E.D. as required by Kentucky law.
• Able to assist in planning and safety procedures for athletic activities.
• Willingness to support student athletes and maintain discipline.

Responsibilities

• Assist coaches in daily and long-range athletic activities.
• Assist in planning the athletic program.
• Conduct learning experiences with small groups of student athletes.
• Assist in guiding participants toward teamwork and sportsmanship.
• Assist with escort and supervision during team travel.
• Recommend equipment and uniform purchases for safety and welfare.
• Perform other non-coaching duties assigned by the principal or head coach.
