Job summary

Leona Group Schools is seeking an athletic coach to lead and develop our student-athletes across practices and competitions. The role involves coordinating with the athletics director, scheduling facilities, and ensuring safety and sportsmanship at all times.

The coach will assess player skills, assign positions, and foster both individual and team growth while supporting academic achievement and program integrity. A fingerprint clearance card and prior coaching experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess valid Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Prior coaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize organizational meetings for team prospects and encourage participation in the sport.
• Assess players' skills and assign team positions.
• Develop regular practice schedules and organize practice time for individual and team development.
• Coordinate with athletics director to schedule facilities for practices and competitions.
• Coach and instruct players on rules, equipment, and techniques of the sport.
• Monitor academic performance to ensure eligibility and encourage strong academics.
• Follow procedures for athlete injuries and safety.
• Communicate with parents/guardians about athletic performance as needed.
• Promote the sport to booster clubs, service clubs, and other organizations.
