Job summary

Kent School District in Washington is seeking qualified coaching staff for multiple paid positions. All coaching roles are posted until filled, and applicants who apply within 5 days of posting receive guaranteed consideration per the coaches' collective bargaining agreement.

Applicants must meet district and WIAA requirements, including a valid background check, appropriate age, and current first aid/CPR certification.

Qualifications

Applicants for paid coaching positions must meet district and WIAA requirements including a valid background check.
Head coaches must be at least 21 years old; assistant coaches at least 19.
Must have a valid first aid and CPR card.
Annually complete the WIAA general rules clinic, the WIAA-approved rule clinic for the sport being coached, and the KSD Vector Training requirements prior to the beginning of the sports season.
Concussion recognition and management with Return to Play Protocols training renew every three years as required by Washington State Law.
Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness and Training renew every three years as required by Washington State Law.
Before the beginning of the third year of coaching, complete Coaching Principles training or NFHS Coaches Fundamentals Course or attend WIAA Coaches School or other approved Coaches School; repetition every three years.
