Job summary

J.Crew seeks a Merchant to lead boy's apparel and non-apparel categories, driving assortments aligned with brand strategy and customer needs. You will partner with Planning, Design, Sourcing, and Marketing to translate trends into actionable product roadmaps and in-season plans.

This role may develop and manage an Assistant or Associate Merchant, and requires strong analytics, strategic thinking, and a passion for fashion that fits our heritage.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of merchandising or retail buying experience.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate financial indicators.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Self-motivated with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience mentoring or developing junior team members.
• Experience in kids product is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the boy's apparel and non-apparel categories end-to-end.
• Develop assortments aligned with brand strategy and customer needs.
• Analyze market trends and competitors to identify opportunities.
• Collaborate with Planning, Design, Sourcing, Marketing.
• Drive in-season performance with sales, receipts, markdown cadence, and inventory.
• May manage an Assistant or Associate Merchant.
