Boyd is seeking an hands-on Electrical Engineer to design electrical and control panels for liquid cooling systems. You will select components, create schematics, and develop control firmware or work with software engineers.
You’ll test, debug, and ensure performance within schedule and budget. You will collaborate with mechanical, refrigeration, and manufacturing teams, developing control strategies, integrating sensors and actuators, and delivering robust HMI interfaces for cooling operations.
Hands-on Electrical Engineer responsible for designing electrical and control panels used in liquid cooling system products with both high and low voltages. This person would work with a small team of mechanical, refrigeration and manufacturing engineers to bring the new product though its full product development process, which includes early concept thru production support. The candidate would be responsible for electrical component selection, schematic and wire run list creation, designing control solutions (functional control logic and PID control loops for temperature, flow and pressure) and PCBA / PLC control firmware. This position would either develop the firmware directly or work with a separate software engineer on the development. The person would work with the full engineering team for testing and debugging of the system under development. The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the product's electrical hardware and firmware meets the functional and performance requirements, while working with the team to deliver on schedule and on budget.
Base compensation 125K-160K bonus eligible
