Job summary

Rugby Architectural Building Products in Denver, CO is seeking a Delivery Driver to support our cabinet shops and lumber yards. You will drive a medium-size box truck, make multiple stops, interact with customers, and handle product.

This role requires a valid driver's license, ability to pass DOT medical and drug tests, and forklift certification. The job is physically demanding, outdoors in all seasons, with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Rugby Architectural Building Products is a wholesale distributor of specialty building products, operating out of 26 branches throughout the United States. Our primary business is non-structural architectural grade building products sold principally to customers who create and produce end-products for the commercial, industrial, retail, residential and institutional markets. (In New Century, KS, Lebanon, TN, and Rockford, IL – we do business as: Olathe Millwork, Warren Brothers, River City Millwork respectfully.)

Position Summary

Rugby Architectural Building Products is growing. We are seeking a Delivery Driver. We mostly deliver hardwood and sheet stock, as well as molding, doors and other supplies to cabinet shops and lumber yards; requires multiple stops. You will be driving a medium-size box truck, interacting with customers, and handling product.

Who Are We Looking For

• Valid driver's license – CDL A or B a plus!
• Must be able to pass a physical examination as required by the U. S. Department of Transportation and provide a valid medical card
• You will be required to pass a driving test as required by the company's truck leasing company
• You must be able to successfully pass a Valid OSHA approved forklift certification (company training provided)
• You will be required to pass a drug test, background and motor vehicle pre-employment screen
• Experience working in a warehouse & lumber yard a plus
• Reliable and dependable -- show up to work on time and ready to start the day
• Be able to read, write and be able to understand verbal and written instructions
• Communicate effectively to co-workers and management about progress of order and deliveries

What You Will Do

• This is a physically intensive job - you must be able to lift heavy, awkward products repeatedly to store, remove from storage, or load onto a truck (up to 50-100 lbs. with a helper)
• You will be required to work both inside and outside in extremes of cold, heat and humidity, depending on the season and location
• You will be exposed to modest amounts of dust, fumes, noise and vibration

This role is a Safety Sensitive position, subject to routine drug screening.
