Job summary

Rugby Architectural Building Products is seeking a Delivery Driver to service customers in the Denver area. You will deliver hardwood, sheet stock, molding, doors and related supplies to cabinet shops and lumber yards, with multiple stops and customer interaction.

You will drive a medium-size box truck, load and unload heavy items, and follow safety protocols. A valid driver's license (CDL A/B a plus), DOT medical card, and pre-employment screens are required; reliability and punctuality are

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license; CDL A or B preferred.
• Must pass DOT physical and possess a valid medical card.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Experience in warehouse or lumber yard is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lift and load heavy items (up to 50–100 lbs) and secure for delivery.
• Drive a medium-size box truck with multiple stops daily.
• Interact professionally with customers and team members on deliveries.

Rugby Architectural Building Products is a wholesale distributor of specialty building products, operating out of 26 branches throughout the United States. Our primary business is non-structural architectural grade building products sold principally to customers who create and produce end-products for the commercial, industrial, retail, residential and institutional markets. (In New Century, KS, Lebanon, TN, and Rockford, IL - we do business as: Olathe Millwork, Warren Brothers, River City Millwork respectfully.)

Position Summary: Rugby Architectural Building Products is growing. We are seeking a Delivery Driver. We mostly deliver hardwood and sheet stock, as well as molding, doors and other supplies to cabinet shops and lumber yards; requires multiple stops. You will be driving a medium-size box truck, interacting with customers, and handling product.

Who Are We Looking For:

• Valid driver's license - CDL A or B a plus!
• Must be able to pass a physical examination as required by the U. S. Department of Transportation and provide a valid medical card
• You will be required to pass a driving test as required by the company's truck leasing company
• You must be able to successfully pass a Valid OSHA approved forklift certification (company training provided)
• You will be required to pass a drug test, background and motor vehicle pre-employment screen
• Experience working in a warehouse & lumber yard a plus
• Reliable and dependable -- show up to work on time and ready to start the day
• Be able to read, write and be able to understand verbal and written instructions
• Communicate effectively to co-workers and management about progress of order and deliveries

What You Will Do:

• This is a physically intensive job - you must be able to lift heavy, awkward products repeatedly to store, remove from storage, or load onto a truck (up to 50-100 lbs. with a helper)
• You will be required to work both inside and outside in extremes of cold, heat and humidity, depending on the season and location
• You will be exposed to modest amounts of dust, fumes, noise and vibration

This role is a Safety Sensitive position, subject to routine drug screening.
