Meyer Distributing is hiring for a Box Driver/Warehouse Operator. Join a family-owned distributor with a strong safety and service focus in Indiana.

You will load and unload trucks, stock and stage products, and support shipping operations while adhering to safety standards and company policies. The role requires driving a box truck, forklift and manlift certification within 3 months, a valid IN CDL with endorsements, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience operating 26–28 ft box trucks or CMV over 10,001 lbs.
• Preference for manual/stick shift driving.
• Valid IN truck license with 2 For Hire endorsement; license endorsement cost reimbursed.
• Willingness to pass drug screening and background checks; DOT Medical Certificate required.
• Clean driving record; insurable under standard rates.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform repetitive bending and lifting.
• Must obtain forklift and manlift certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Drive manual box trucks between company buildings as needed.
• Unload and distribute products to warehouse restocking areas.
• Use scanners to place parts in correct bins and pull orders.
• Stock parts on racks and wrap pallets for shipment.
• Fill orders from stock and route to shipping or pickup areas.
• Operate forklift and manlift equipment; transfer product as needed.
• Load trucks and secure product; maintain a clean, safe work area.

Are you an experienced Box Truck Driver / Warehouse Operator looking for a new opportunity? We're looking for a dedicated and experienced employee to join our team. The Shuttle Driver and Warehouse Operator loads and unloads trucks, stocks products in appropriate locations, pulls stock and stages products for shipping, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.

Schedule

• Stable schedule: 5-day work week ~40 hours
• Up to $20.00 based on experience
• Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 6:30pm (start/end times vary based on workload, coverage and business needs)
• Saturday, 8:00am - 1:00pm, rotational (start/end times vary based on workload, coverage and business needs)

Requirements For Box Drivers

• Preference of minimum one (1) year of experience operating 26–28 ft. box trucks or any other commercial motor vehicle over 10,001 lbs.
• Preference of manual/stick shift driving
• Possession of a valid truck IN driver's license and 2 For Hire endorsement (Company willing to reimburse license endorsement cost if obtained for Meyer - receipt required)
• Willingness to submit to drug screening and background checks, and maintain a valid DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate
• Clean driving record with no recent moving violations; must remain insurable under standard insurance market rates
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Ability to perform repetitive bending and lifting
• Previous warehouse experience and must obtain forklift and manlift certification within 3 months of hire

Box Driver Duties Include But Are Not Limited To

• Drive manual box trucks from company building to company building as needed throughout the day
• Unload truck and distribute products to appropriate area of warehouse for restocking
• Use scanners to place parts in proper bins and pull orders
• Stocks parts on racks in proper location
• Fill orders from warehouse stock and distribute items to shipping or to designated route driver/customer pick-up staging area
• Operate a forklift and manlift equipment
• Place product on pallets and wrap it in film and band it using banding equipment
• Assist in counting and reconciliation of physical inventory
• Keep warehouse and work area clean and organized at all times
• Wear protective toed shoes and work in a safe manner at all times
• Move products manually and with the assistance of a forklift and manlift
• Load trucks and secure product
• Transfer product
• Drive a Box Truck
• All other duties as assigned
