Job summary

Mettler Toledo AG is seeking a professional driver to serve as the primary contact for local customers, ensuring timely delivery of products from the branch to customer locations in New Jersey and nearby states.

This role requires safe operation of company trucks, loading/unloading, and compliance with OSHA and DOT standards, with approximately one overnight trip per month to Boston and regular runs to North Jersey and Pennsylvania.

• Operate company vehicles in a safe and punctual manner.
• Transport of both company and customer-owned products.
• Load and unload company vehicle by hand or material handling equipment.
• Responsible for coordinating and managing the preventative maintenance of company vehicles.
• Responsible for all associated documentation in relation to transportation and deliveries (e.g. Manifest logs, etc.)
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers to provide quality service.
• Perform the job in accordance with all applicable standards, policies and regulatory guidelines (e.g. OSHA and DOT standards,) to promote a safe working environment.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Job description

The driver serves as a point of contact for local customers and assists in maintaining customer relationships by providing high-quality service. The driver is responsible for safe operation of company trucks for timely delivery of products to customer and company locations. The driver will safely load, unload and transfer products as needed utilizing various equipment and forklifts within the branch location, trucks/trailers, and customer sites. There is one overnight trip per month to Boston and regular runs to North Jersey and Pennsylvania.
