Job summary

Tomra is seeking a reliable Box Truck Driver to transport cargo to and from destinations in the Town of Lancaster, NY area. Responsibilities include operating a box truck, preparing documentation, loading and unloading cargo, and staying in contact with the dispatcher to receive instructions and updates.

The role requires a valid driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Box Truck Driver.
• Valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
• Able to lift heavy packages up to 50 lbs.
• Availability to occasionally work weekend shifts.
• High school diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Operates a box truck to transport cargo to and from destinations.

• Loads, secures and unloads cargo.

Job description

Operates a box truck that transports cargo to and from specified destinations

Prepares, receives and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick up of goods to ensure timely service

Loads, secures and unloads cargo

Maintains radio or telephone contact with dispatcher to receive delivery or pick up instructions or to receive notice of changes in scheduled delivery or pick up

Maintains logs of travel and cargo according to federal and state regulations

Other duties as assigned

Proven experience as a Box Truck Driver

A valid driver's license

Must have a \"satisfactory\" driving record.

Familiarity with GPS devices

Ability to lift heavy packages, up to 50lbs +

Availability to occasionally take weekend shifts

A polite and professional disposition

Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
