Job summary

HandCraft Services in High Point, NC is seeking a Retail Medical Route Driver with an early schedule (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri, 2:00 AM start). You will load linen carts onto 18–28 ft box trucks, then deliver to customers while ensuring timely service and outstanding customer interactions.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent box truck driving experience.
• Meets all DOT requirements.
• Physically able to perform the duties of this position.
• Able to lift 30 pounds overhead and to push/pull a heavy linen cart.
• Able to drive nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Load linen carts onto an 18 ft. to 28 ft. box truck in the correct order for daily routes.
• Deliver linen products to customers in a timely manner and provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain neat, safe loading practices and help retain accounts through professionalism.

Job description

Location: High Point, NC / Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 2:00AM Start / Pay Rate: $22.61 to $26.00 Depending on experience and with Excellent Benefits

The Retail Medical Route Driver is responsible for loading all linen carts onto an 18 ft. to 28 ft. box truck in the correct order based on their daily assigned delivery route. They must deliver the linen product to customers in a timely manner and provide excellent customer service to each customer in order to retain accounts. Linens are delivered on carts weighing over 500 pounds and have wheels.

The Ideal Candidate Has:

• A valid driver's license.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience driving a box truck.
• Meets all DOT requirements.
• Is physically able to perform the duties of this position.
• The ability to lift 30 pounds overhead and to push or pull a linen cart that can weigh over 500 pounds.
• Able to drive nights, holidays, and occasionally on weekends.
• Strong communication and customer service skills required.
