Meyer Logistics Inc. is hiring an experienced Box Truck Driver (non CDL) to join our team in Athens, AL. You will drive 26-28 ft box trucks on route deliveries, ensuring timely customer service and DOT compliance. This position emphasizes safety, reliability, and quality service.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule from 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a quarterly safety bonus and a range of benefits. We value drivers as part of the Meyer family and provide ongoing orientation and growth

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience driving 26-28 ft box trucks or similar over 10,001 lbs.
• Valid truck driver license with state endorsement.
• Willing to pass drug screens, background checks and maintain a DOT medical card.
• No recent moving or driving violations; insurable at standard rates.

Responsibilities

• Drive company trucks to deliver routes and meet schedules.
• Load and unload deliveries as needed.
• Complete paperwork for company and DOT regulations.
• Perform basic vehicle inspections and report defects.

The Box Truck Driver drives company trucks to make route deliveries and completes paperwork. Works closely with internal departments to ensure product is delivered to customers in a timely manner while staying compliant with DOT regulations.

Schedule For Box Truck Delivery Driver (non CDL)

• $19
• Monday – Friday
• 5:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (End Time Varies on Most Days Due to Workload / Coverage)

Box Truck Driver duties include but are not limited to:

• Drive company trucks to make route deliveries to customers and meet delivery schedules.
• Maneuver trucks into position in order to load and unload delivery trucks.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Report defects, accidents and violations.
• Complete paperwork necessary for company and DOT regulations.
• Communicate with Fleet Management on maintenance issues and preventative maintenance of delivery trucks.
• Heavy lifting 75+lbs.

Requirements For Box Truck Driver (non CDL)

• 1-3 years of previous experience driving 26-28 FT box trucks or any other commercial motor vehicle over 10,001 lbs. (Required)
• Valid truck driver license and relative endorsement for the specific state.
• Willing to submit to drug screens, background checks and maintain a valid DOT medical examiners card.
• No recent moving or driving violations, remain insurable at the standard insurance market rate.
• Operate / Drive a forklift.
