Job summary

Plumbers Supply Co is seeking a dependable Delivery Driver in Fort Wayne to safely deliver plumbing supplies using non-CDL 26-foot box trucks. You will load precisely, verify counts, and interact with customers on each stop, becoming the face of the company on the road.

Ideal candidates are 21+, hold a valid license with a clean record, have a DOT medical card or can obtain one, and can lift up to 50 lbs regularly (75 lbs occasionally). A pre-employment screen and background check are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• DOT medical card or ability to obtain one.
• Prior experience driving a box truck.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally.
• Strong customer-service focus with excellent communication.
• Willingness to undergo pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate 26-foot box trucks and flatbed (Non-CDL) to deliver products per schedule.
• Meticulously load trucks based on daily routes.
• Verify shipping counts and maintain safety during loading, transit and unloading.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service during all deliveries.
• Maintain a valid Medical DOT card and comply with regulations.
• Coordinate with warehouse and other departments to resolve issues smoothly.
