Job summary

Meyer Logistics Inc. seeks an experienced Box Truck Driver (non-CDL) to drive company trucks for route deliveries. You’ll work with internal teams to ensure timely delivery while complying with DOT rules and safety standards.

This role requires 1-3 years’ box truck experience, a valid For-Hire license, and willingness to pass drug screens and a DOT medical exam. Benefits include medical, 401K, paid time off, and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience driving 26-28 ft box trucks or similar CMVs (>10,001 lbs).
• Valid chauffeur’s or for-hire license with endorsement for the state of work.
• Willing to pass drug tests, background checks, and DOT medical card.

Responsibilities

• Deliver route orders on schedule and ensure timely customer deliveries.
• Load/unload and maneuver trucks as needed; inspect for safety and maintain vehicle.
• Complete required paperwork and comply with DOT regulations.
• Report defects and keep Fleet Management informed on maintenance issues.

The Box Truck Driver drives company trucks to make route deliveries and completes paperwork. Works closely with internal departments to ensure product is delivered to customers in a timely manner while staying compliant with DOT regulations

Schedule For Box Truck Delivery Driver (non CDL)

• $20.00 per hour
• Monday – Friday
• 6:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (End Time Varies on Most Days Due to Workload / Coverage)
• Quarterly Driver Safety Bonus!

Requirements For Box Truck Driver (non CDL)

• 1-3 years of previous experience driving 26-28 FT box trucks or any other commercial motor vehicle over 10,001 lbs. (Required)
• Valid chauffeur\’s or operator\’s license with a “For-Hire” endorsement in the state in which you will be working.
• Willing to submit to drug screens, background checks and maintain a valid DOT medical examiners card.
• No recent moving or driving violations, remain insurable at the standard insurance market rate.
• Operate / Drive a forklift.

Box Truck Driver duties include but are not limited to:

• Drive company trucks to make route deliveries to customers and meet delivery schedules.
• Maneuver trucks into position in order to load and unload delivery trucks.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Report defects, accidents and violations.
• Complete paperwork necessary for company and DOT regulations.
• Communicate with Fleet Management on maintenance issues and preventative maintenance of delivery trucks.
• Heavy lifting 75+lbs.
