Job summary

Stier Supply Company is seeking a dedicated Box Truck Delivery Driver to join our team in the Southeast. You will operate a box truck to deliver building materials to assigned job sites, load and secure materials, and follow routes to ensure on-time arrivals.

The ideal candidate has experience in logistics or warehouse operations, is familiar with DOT/HOS requirements, and can maintain accurate records. We offer weekly pay, health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid

Qualifications

  • Experience in logistics, trucking, or warehouse operations.
  • Familiarity with DOT safety, HOS, and compliance regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a box truck to transport building materials to job sites.
  • Load, unload, and secure materials for accurate deliveries.
  • Follow routes and schedules for on-time deliveries.
  • Verify materials on delivery and document discrepancies.
  • Maintain delivery records and logs in company systems.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections (DVIR).
  • Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety policies.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and job site personnel.
  • Assist with warehouse tasks such as staging and organizing materials.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Logistics Manager.

What You'll Do:
  • Operate a box truck to transport building materials to assigned job sites.
  • Load, unload, and secure materials to ensure accurate deliveries.
  • Follow designated routes & schedules for on-time deliveries.
  • Verify materials upon delivery and document any discrepancies.
  • Maintain delivery records & log shipments in company systems.
  • Conduct pre-trip & post-trip inspections (DVIR) and report any issues.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, HOS, and company safety policies, including ELD use.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and job site personnel.
  • Assist with warehouse tasks such as staging and organizing materials as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Logistics Manager.
Our Ideal Candidate:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), and experience with CRM software.
  • Experience in logistics, trucking, or warehouse operations.
  • Understanding of DOT safety, HOS, and compliance regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective time management and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus during repetitive tasks.
  • Awareness of ergonomic principles and ability to adhere to safety standards.
  • Strong ability to operate and troubleshoot tablets, smartphones, and other digital tools for daily tasks, including data entry, scheduling, and reporting.
Requirements:
  • At least 21 years old
  • Ability to lift 100+ lbs. repetitively.
  • Employment eligibility.
  • Valid license with an approved driving record.
  • Valid DOT Medical Card in compliance with federal regulations.
  • Must be able to legally and safely operate a vehicle across state lines on a daily basis, or as needed.
Physical Requirements:
  • Heavy Lifting: Frequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 100 pounds over rough terrain on a daily basis.
  • Extended Sitting: Sit for up to 6-8 or more hours daily while operating the truck or waiting at job sites.
  • Physical Endurance: Navigate uneven surfaces and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening, background check, and health and physical evaluation.

Salary $18.00 to $20.00 based on experience

Benefits Life, Health, Dental, and Vision after 60 days. Paid vacation and holidays after 90 days. 401(k) with company match when eligible after 6 months.
