SQA Services, Inc. is seeking a Level 2 Borescope Quality Inspector to support visual and borescope inspections of machined components at an aerospace manufacturing facility in Hawthorne, CA.

The inspector will examine tubes and components with internal cavities to identify foreign object debris (FOD), burrs, and other internal defects. You will perform 100% borescope inspections, follow established inspection procedures and quality requirements, document results, and maintain accurate

• Hands-on proficiency in visual inspection and borescope inspection.
• Previous experience with borescope inspections, visual inspection, or mechanical quality inspection preferred.
• Aerospace or manufacturing inspection experience is a plus.
• Ability to identify burrs, FOD, and other visual defects.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections and 100% borescope inspections of tubes, machined components, and products with internal cavities.

For more than 30 years, SQA Services has provided managed supplier quality services, including inspections, audits, corrective actions, and engineering support to manufacturers across industries.

SQA Services is seeking a Level 2 Borescope Quality Inspector to support visual and borescope inspections of machined components at an aerospace manufacturing facility in Hawthorne, CA. The inspector will examine tubes of various shapes and sizes, along with other machined products containing internal cavities, to identify foreign object debris (FOD), burrs, and other internal defects or abnormalities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections and 100% borescope inspections of tubes, machined components, and products with internal cavities.
• Inspect internal surfaces for burrs, foreign object debris (FOD), and other visible abnormalities.
• Follow established inspection procedures, work instructions, and quality requirements.
• Document inspection results and report any defects or nonconformances.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and support containment activities as needed.
• Follow all site safety and quality procedures.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Hands-on proficiency in visual inspection and borescope inspection
• Previous experience with borescope inspections, visual inspection, or mechanical quality inspection preferred
• Aerospace or manufacturing inspection experience is a plus
• Ability to identify burrs, FOD, and other visual defects
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written inspection procedures
• Ability to document findings accurately and work in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable using computers to record inspection results, document defects, and maintain accurate inspection records.
• Ability to work full-time onsite in Hawthorne, CA, on 1st shift

Preferred Qualifications

• Aerospace or precision manufacturing inspection experience
• Familiarity with GD&T and dimensional tolerances
• Experience using precision measuring tools, including calipers and micrometers
• Experience inspecting machined components, tubing, and parts with complex internal geometries

$30 - $36 an hour

Mileage reimbursement at the US gov't rate ($0.725 per mile driven). Untaxed.
