This role is responsible for delivering relevant, high-impact stories tailored to San Diego audiences. A successful candidate is digitally savvy, excels in storytelling that connects with audiences on broadcast, streaming, website and social. This position requires the multimedia journalist to shoot, write, edit vosots and packages. It also requires the ability to produce, host, and pilot original streaming shows for our CTV app. **RESPONSIBILITIES:*** Produce daily, original San Diego-focused content for multiplatform viewing* Develop and deliver stories on border-related topics beyond headlines and politics, focusing on context, impact, and solutions for local community* Produce and host weekly border related show for station’s CTV streaming app* Contributes daily to digital platforms including submitting original articles for station website and producing vertical content for mobile users* Must be creative with how to tailor and present stories on different screens to engage today’s audiences on every platform they’re watching* Maintain an active presence on social media to promote stories, engage audiences, and generate story ideas* Build and maintain strong sources on both sides of the border to support exclusive and enterprise reporting* Shoot, write, and edit stories ensuring accuracy, clarity, and strong storytelling* Collaborate with assignment desk, producer, photographer on live shots* Must be able to ad-lib with a strong ability to interact with anchors and guests* Ensure all content meets company standards for journalistic integrity and production quality* Attend station partnerships in community* Perform other duties as assigned**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:*** B.A. or B.S.
