Qualifications

• GL-9: 1 year specialized experience in duties such as searches, apprehension, and evidence collection.
• GS-11: 1 year specialized experience including authority to enforce laws and investigate crimes.
• No education substitutions for GL-9 or GS-11 grade levels.

Responsibilities

• Detect and question individuals suspected of immigration and customs violations.
• Apprehend aliens and smugglers near borders with surveillance and other tools.
• Perform checks, patrols, and transportation inspections as part of USBP operations.
• Patrol international boundaries and coastal waterways using various assets.
