U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is hiring Border Patrol Agents (BPAs) for full-time positions across various duties at and near the United States borders.

BPAs play a vital role in enforcing immigration and customs laws while ensuring lawful travel and trade. The position offers robust federal benefits and significant recruitment and retention incentives, with base pay ranging by grade from $51,632 to $124,717 annually.

Formación

• GL-5: 1 year general work experience OR a bachelor’s degree OR combined education/experience.
• GL-7: 1 year specialized work experience in law enforcement activities including firearms, handling people, and incident analysis.
• GL-9/GS-11: 1 year specialized experience with law enforcement duties and complex investigations.

Responsabilidades

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of immigration or customs violations.
• Inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.
• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders.
• Interpreting tracks, marks, and physical evidence of illegal entry.
• Patrolling borders and waterways using various government assets.
