U.S. Customs and Border Protection is hiring Border Patrol Agents (BPA) at multiple grades (GL-5, GL-7, GL-9 or GS-11). The position offers strong base pay, federal benefits, and job stability, with recruitment and retention incentives.

Typical duties include inspecting documents, preventing unlawful border entry, and patrolling borders using vehicles, horses, boats; duty locations across the United States. Prioritized locations carry extra incentives up to 20,000 dollars.

Competenze

Experience paragraph showing ability to take charge, make sound decisions, learn regulations, and gather information.
Bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study from an accredited college or university; OR
Combination of Experience and Education as determined by resume and transcripts.

Mansioni

Detect individuals violating immigration and customs laws and inspect documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.
Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders using surveillance and night operations.
Interpret tracks, marks, and evidence of illegal entry; perform checks (farm, building, traffic, city, transportation).
Patrol international boundaries and waterways using vehicles, horses, vessels, and other assets.
