Job summary

Knight-Energy-Services is seeking a Field Technician to install, operate, and maintain Blow Out Preventer (BOP) units in Broussard, LA. You will service BOPs, assist the field crew, and help implement a preventive maintenance program.

The role requires at least 3 years of BOP servicing experience, strong communication, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Forklift experience is required and safety is a priority.

Qualifications

• At least three (3) years’ experience working with servicing BOPs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Safety and service oriented.
• May be asked to operate a company vehicle.
• Basic understanding of machine operating and safety protocols.
• Comfortable working in a fast pace environment.
• Previous experience operating a forklift is a must.

Responsibilities

• Servicing all blow out preventers, flanges or valves, reel swivels, and other components.
• Overseas the periodic testing of the equipment used for BOP operations on the site
• Assisting field personnel with job related problems associated with these components
• Learn to remove, repair, assemble, disassemble, and test blow out preventers, and rental tools equipment
• Aiding management in developing a preventive maintenance system for these components
• Completes check sheet, inspection report, and test charts
• Performing and documenting all pressure tests for these components after service
• Prepares all equipment to return to stock by inspecting, cleaning, and greasing
• Actively participate in safety initiatives (e.g. STOP), spill prevention, and hazard recognition activities
• Keep overall work area clean and well organized
• Provide good customer service and work in a professional manner
• Other duties as assigned by management
