Responsibilities

  • Review incoming requests and supporting documentation for completeness and consistency with Boot Straps guidelines.
  • Coordinate the review and approval process for financial assistance requests.
  • Communicate partners throughout the process and help ensure they understand next steps.
  • Coordinate approved financial assistance and maintain accurate records of grants and payments.
  • Protect the confidentiality and sensitive nature of partner information at all times.
  • Maintain organized records and documentation to support the administration and compliance needs of the nonprofit.
  • Track requests, assistance provided, and program activity to help measure the impact of Boot Straps.
  • Partner with HR and other internal teams to increase awareness of Boot Straps and ensure partners know where to turn when they need help.
  • Assist with fundraising efforts and initiatives that help strengthen the Boot Straps fund and expand our ability to support partners.
  • Help develop communications and stories that demonstrate the impact of Boot Straps while protecting partner privacy.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the partner experience and make the assistance process easier and more supportive.
  • Support additional Boot Straps projects and initiatives as the program continues to grow.

BOOT STRAPS SPECIALIST – PART TIME

The Boot Straps Specialist is a part-time role for someone who has a genuine passion for helping others and wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our partners. This individual will help administer the day-to-day operations of Boot Straps, including supporting partners through the application process, coordinating requests for financial assistance, maintaining appropriate documentation, and helping ensure every partner interaction is handled with compassion, dignity, confidentiality, and care.

This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized and detail-oriented but, above all, has a heart for helping people.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in nonprofit administration, HR, benefits, employee assistance, community programs, or a similar field is a plus.

PAY RANGE: $30.00 - $32.00/hr*

*compensation varies based on geography, skills, experience, and tenure

Physical Demands
