Job summary

Yuasa Battery, Inc. in Reading is seeking a leader to oversee the expanding boosting department on the 1st and 3rd shifts. The role ensures batteries prepared for shipment meet safety, quality, and production expectations.

You will assign work, supervise boosting operations, learn profiles, read volt meters, manage inbound/outbound product, and drive efficiency while reducing scrap. This hands-on leadership position requires flexibility across shifts and strong team coordination.

• Prepares the work area and assigns employees to workstations with the Supervisors direction.
• Familiar with all operations within the Boosting department and able to fill in all department positions when necessary.
• Learn and understand computer boosting profiles.
• Use and read volt meters.
• Responsible for incoming and outgoing product in the boosting area.
• Preps the boosting area by pulling appropriate components.
• Gives direction to the boosting employees.
• Leads workers in focusing on efficiency and preventing scrap.
• Performs on the job repairs to product components when necessary.
