Barnes & Noble in White Marsh is seeking a Barista for a part-time role in our café. You will welcome customers, connect readers with drinks, and help keep the café and bakes case tidy. You will also handle registers and assist with stock deliveries, while delivering friendly, professional service.

You’ll work as part of a busy café team, with emphasis on reliability, cheerful customer interactions and a willingness to learn new skills as you grow into the Senior Barista role.

Qualifications

• Be punctual and reliable for scheduled shifts.
• Store hours include early mornings to late evenings, weekends, and most holidays.
• Maintain a positive and willing approach to work, performing tasks with energy.

Responsibilities

• Operate registers, computers, tablets and other tools smoothly.
• Develop merchandising skills to keep the café presentation clean and attractive.
• Keep counter and floor retail fixtures neat and orderly.
• Run a register quickly and reliably for customer service.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking deliveries and stocking merchandise.
• Make beverages accurately using available recipes and guides.
• Maintain café cleanliness with daily/weekly tasks and FIFO dating.
• Support bookfloor team when needed and follow loss-prevention guidelines.
