Job summary

Barnes & Noble in St. Cloud is seeking a friendly Bookseller to be a welcoming face for readers and our community. You’ll greet customers, answer questions, help connect readers with titles, and keep the store looking inviting by shelving deliveries and maintaining displays.

You’ll also operate registers quickly and professionally to ensure excellent service. This role emphasizes reliable attendance, flexibility to cover shifts, teamwork, and a passion for books.

Qualifications

• Maintain reliable and punctual attendance for scheduled shifts.
• Fill scheduling gaps and be flexible to store needs (open early, close late, weekends/holidays).
• Be positive, proactive, and energetic in tasks.
• Be supportive and kind to colleagues and customers.
• Be cheerful with customers and help them find books.
• Show willingness to learn new skills and expand knowledge in-store.

Responsibilities

• Unpack deliveries and assist with shelving to maintain attractive displays.
• Operate registers and handle transactions in a quick, friendly manner.
• Support café team when needed and assist in loss prevention procedures as required.
• Help customers locate books and products using knowledge and store tools.
• Collaborate with the store team to ensure accurate stocking and backstock management.
