Qualifications

• Proficiency with varied technology: registers, computers, tablets, programs and tools.
• Strong merchandising skills to maintain book presentation and store cleanliness.
• Visual merchandising coordination across gifting, toys and other product categories.
• Ability to run a register quickly and reliably for customer service.
• Support the receiving and unpacking of deliveries and accurate shelving.
• Locate books using knowledge, colleagues, BookMaster and information tools.
• Support the café team when needed and understand loss prevention procedures.

Responsabilités

• Maintain book sections and backstock, keeping displays attractive and organized.
• Build knowledge across fiction, nonfiction, and children's books to assist customers.
• Make effective book recommendations to customers throughout sections.
• Learn and sell programs like Monthly Picks, Book of the Year, Membership and preorders.
• Collaborate with team to meet key sales objectives and new releases.
