Job summary

Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, TX, seeks an experienced RN for the Bone Marrow Transplant unit. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, collaborating with physicians and care teams to support cancer patients through complex therapies and discharge planning.

Responsibilities include admission assessments, medication administration, documentation, and patient-family education. Current TX RN license and BLS are required, with at least 6 months RN experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or Baccalaureate degree registered nursing program.
• Minimum of six (6) months of clinical experience as a licensed Registered Nurse.
• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (RN Compact license holders must obtain Texas RN License within 60 days of hire).
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient’s condition at admission and each shift, reporting changes.
• Administer medications, monitor response, and document care in the medical record.
• Provide exceptional patient care by promptly responding to requests and anticipating needs.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up.
