Henry Ford Health is seeking a Bone Densitometry Technologist to perform imaging procedures in Michigan. The role operates under a Radiologist, ensuring accurate, safe patient care and proper technique selection.

You will use independent judgment for techniques and positioning, maintain safety standards, and keep certifications up to date. This is a part-time role with dayshift hours and potential Saturday rotation in the future.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Some knowledge of anatomy and computer use.
• Six months of on-the-job training with an experienced Bone Densitometry Technologist.
• Certification as a CBDT from ISCD required within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform bone densitometry procedures as ordered by licensed providers.
• Utilize independent judgment to determine appropriate techniques and patient positioning.
• Ensure adherence to safety practices during all procedures.
• Maintain certification and meet continuing education requirements.
• Occasionally lift and/or move equipment and patients weighing up to 50 lbs.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Some knowledge of anatomy and computer use.
• Six months of on-the-job training with an experienced Bone Densitometry Technologist.
• Certification as a Certified Bone Densitometry Technologist (CBDT) from the International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD) required within 12 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) preferred.
