Job summary

Superior Boiler in Hutchinson, KS is seeking a detail-oriented BOM/Production Clerk to coordinate workflow across departments and expedite production. You will process all new orders as they come in from the BOM Department and maintain accurate records in ERP systems.

Responsibilities include creating BOMs, assigning part numbers, setting up and tracking work orders, printing pick lists, distributing orders to shop departments, and verifying quantities and material usage.

Qualifications

• Experience structuring or working with BOMs in manufacturing environments.
• Proficient with PC applications.
• Strong understanding of physical inventory, accounting, and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate Bill of Materials (BOMs) and correct as required.
• Assign Part Numbers as needed and process work orders as generated.
• Set up new work orders for manufactured assemblies with standard routing and materials; input labor captures.
• Set up new work orders for subparts of assemblies and input labor captures.
• Print boiler pick lists from shop floor and distribute work orders to shop by department.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as deemed necessary by supervisor.
• After completion, verify quantities and material usage, post materials and receive parts into inventory.
• Make changes as required (quantity or material substitutions) and close the order.

Job Description

• After work orders are completed in the shop & returned to Production Control

• If correct as initially issued post material & receive parts into inventory
  
• Make other changes as required (i.e., quantity and/or material substitutions) and close the order
  

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous job experience structuring or working with BOMs in a manufacturing environment
  
• Proficient with PC applications
  
• Strong understanding of physical inventory, accounting, and ERP systems
  
• High School Diploma (or GED)
