Job summary

Phillips Tank and Structure is seeking a Bolted Tank/Aluminum Dome Mechanic to install, inspect, and repair above-ground storage tanks and domes. You will work with various power tools, generators, and safety gear while following drawings and technical plans.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, 18+ years of age, and a valid driver’s license. Training in confined space rescue and safety is provided. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

• Perform seal and dome installation, inspection, and repair on above-ground storage tanks.
• Install and inspect non-welded tank components.
• Complete safety training and follow safe work plans.
• Operate power tools, generators, air compressors, and testing equipment.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment such as forklifts, skid steers, and aerial lifts.
• Receive, inspect, and inventory materials; maintain a clean, organized site.

Job Title

Bolted Tank/Aluminum Dome Mechanic

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform regular job tasks regarding above-ground storage tank seal and dome installation, inspection, and repair.
• Perform non-welded tank apparatus installation, inspection, and repair.
• Become Confined Space Rescue trained through PTS's in-house training.
• Install, inspect, and repair above-ground storage tanks.
• Operate safety equipment including fall protection, atmospheric monitors, and respiratory protection.
• Operate all tools on the job site including power tools, air tools, and testing equipment.
• Setup and operate generators and air compressors.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment operations including forklifts, skid steers, and aerial lifts.
• Understand and follow drawing packages, technical documents, and safe work plans.
• Understand and assist in the care and maintenance of all tooling and equipment.
• Assist in receiving, inspecting, and inventorying all material.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly job site.
• Complete job safety analysis, safety audits, site-specific training, and other safety training.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Willingness to authorize motor vehicle driving record checks.
• Willingness to submit to pre-hire, random, and post-incident drug and alcohol testing.
• Ability to weld is a plus.
