Role Description The Boiler Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Orlando, FL. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial boilers and related steam and hydronic equipment. Daily tasks include performing inspections, conducting preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and control issues, and completing accurate service reports. The Boiler Technician will work closely with project managers and customers to support system startups, ensure optimal performance, and adhere to safety and regulatory requirements. The role also involves interpreting technical drawings and manuals, recommending improvements, and supporting the successful completion of projects from design through operation.

Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in boiler installation, maintenance, and repair, including steam and hydronic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, equipment manuals, schematics, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of safety standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements related to boiler and pressure vessel systems.
  • Competence in using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic instruments, and testing equipment relevant to boiler work.
  • Effective problem-solving skills, including the ability to diagnose mechanical and controls issues and recommend practical solutions.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for documenting service activities and interacting with customers and team members.
  • Ability to work on-site, manage time effectively, and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, standing, and working in varying conditions.
  • Prior experience in commercial or industrial mechanical systems, HVAC, or plumbing is highly beneficial.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical trade school training or boiler certification is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record for travel to customer sites as needed.
