Job summary

Tree Top Inc. in Prosser, WA is seeking a skilled refrigeration and plant maintenance technician to maintain boiler, refrigeration and utility systems. You will work all three shifts: days, swing, and grave, ensuring minimal downtime and safe operation.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, pumps, piping, control systems, and routine rounds; require Journeyman certification or 4 years refrigeration experience; forklift cert and MS Office skills preferred.

• Maintenance, repairs and PMs of boilers, air compressors, and cooling towers with minimal supervision.
• Monitor, add, and adjust the chemicals.
• Repair or replace pumps, motors and steam piping.
• Minimize downtime and improve line efficiency through proper refrigeration and steam plant procedures.
• Work with the Frost Byte control system on refrigeration and boiler ignition control.
• Daily rounds of boiler and refrigeration system.
• Utilize Work Order system for required repairs and tasks.
• Replace belts, bearings, and filters.

Summary

Maintain and operate plant Refrigeration, Boiler, and Utility supply equipment including piping and pumps to minimize downtime. Interact with plant management to enhance operation of equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Other duties may be assigned. All of the following are to be performed while adhering to Tree Top operational policies, safety rules, procedures and good manufacturing practices. It is the responsibility of every employee at Tree Top Inc. to report food safety and food quality problems or risks to personnel with the authority to initiate action against these said possible risks. The Organization chart indicated key personnel with the authority to take action.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma preferred; General Education Degree (GED) required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Ability to speak effectively with co-workers and supervisors.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS OR OTHER

• Must have a Journeyman Certification or four years' experience in Refrigeration.
• Ability to use a computer and Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification.

Pay Information

Salary Range: $28.5061 to $37.7479/hr. depending on qualification
