Johanna Foods, a leading food manufacturer in Flemington, New Jersey, seeks a maintenance mechanic to service, maintain, and repair plant systems including refrigeration, boiler, fire sprinkler, air compressor, vacuum, and electrical systems. Responsibilities include observing equipment for issues, performing repairs, and ensuring safety and quality compliance across the manufacturing complex.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous maintenance mechanic experience in a food processing/packaging facility preferred.
• Willingness to obtain Black Seal Boiler License and/or Blue Seal Refrigeration License; training will be provided.
• Strong mathematical calculation skills.
• Good record-keeping abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Observe equipment and machinery to identify problems and malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot and analyze issues to ensure proper operation.
• Perform routine tests on boiler, cooling waters, and fire systems.
• Carry out scheduled and emergency repairs on equipment and building structures (e.g., pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, plumbing).
• Read and complete work orders, specifications, schematics and manuals.
• Follow safety standards and company policies, and comply with state regulations (e.g., boiler and refrigeration operations).
• Ensure compliance with quality systems and food safety programs.

Job Summary:

Service, maintain and repair the Johanna Foods, Inc. food manufacturing plant complex includingrefrigeration, boiler and water systems, fire sprinkler, air compressor, vacuum andelectrical systems.

Johanna Foods Compensation:

• Compensation $26.00- $39.00/hour, based on skills, experience, qualifications and testing

Responsibilities

• Observe all equipment and machinery to assess problems and malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot/analyze problems and malfunctions to insure proper operation.
• Perform routine tests for operation of boiler, cooling waters and fire systems.
• Perform scheduled and emergency repairs on all equipment and building structures (i.e. pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic electrical plumbing )
• Read and complete work orders, paperwork, specification books, schematics and manuals.
• Adhere to all company established safety standards and company policies and procedures, as well as state laws including TCPA concerning boiler and refrigeration operations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable quality system standards and the unit’s food safety and security programs in support of essential manufacturing strategies and practices.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a maintenance mechanic in a food processing/packaging facility; and/or in a general plant
• Prefer Black Seal Boiler License and/or Blue Seal Refrigeration License. Otherwise, must be willing to obtain licenses. Will provide training.
• Somewhat complex mathematical calculation skills.
• Strong record-keeping skills.
• Ability to perform manual work and have mechanical skills.
• Ability to work equally well with others as well as alone.
