Job summary

The Fulton Companies, a private multi-group of companies, is seeking a skilled welder to perform both non-pressurized and pressure-retaining welds on ASME vessels and piping at our Pulaski, NY site. The role requires accuracy, safety, and adherence to WPQ and welding symbols.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, technical training, and at least 1 year of welding experience, with ability to read drawings and meet ASME specifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical trade school preferred.
• 1+ years’ welding experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, and flux-core welds on pressure-retaining components including boiler shells, steam drums, headers, tube-to-tubes sheet joints, and pressure vessel shells with minimal supervision.
• Maintain WPQ qualifications under ASME Section IX for required processes, positions, and base/filler metals.
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, ASME weld symbols, WPS documents, and shop travelers for boiler assemblies.
• Perform fit-up and tacking of boiler pressure welds in accordance with ASME tolerances.
• Monitor preheat and inter-pass temperatures during welding on code parts.
